Frequently asked questions when rafting the Colorado River.
Will I get wet?
It depends on our raft trips, you will probably get some light spray but you won’t get completely soaked. However, with our kayak rentals you are much closer to the water and can expect to get wet (sometimes very).
What should I wear rafting or kayaking?
You should wear anything non-cotton! Nylon shorts/shirts, bathing suits, NO JEANS, waterproof shoes/sandals, hats, sunglasses, and maybe a fleece or sweater are all appropriate to wear on the water. Please bring along any necessary medications you may need along the way.
Do I have to paddle?
On our raft trips, we offer an oar frame (the guide rows the boat) or you and your group can request to paddle. With our rentals, paddling is almost always required.
Do I need to bring any special equipment?
No. All necessary equipment is provided for you on our guided trips. However, with our rentals you may consider bringing or renting additional items. Please refer to our rentals page for more details.
